Description
A visit to the workshop offers an immersion into the world of flamenco and classical guitar—part of our cultural and artistic heritage and the tradition of the Granada School of Guitar. During the visit, you’ll take a tour that, on the one hand, highlights the significance of this instrument as it relates to our history, traditions, and art. On the other hand, it will demonstrate the guitar-making process—entirely artisanal—as well as the materials and techniques—such as inlay work—that make these guitars unique instruments, highly prized by professionals in the music world in general and in the fields of classical and flamenco guitar in particular. The tour will be engaging and approachable, aiming to help visitors appreciate the aspects that make this craft truly unique.
Tour Details,
The tour can accommodate between 2 and a maximum of 15 people.
The estimated duration of the tour is approximately 2 hours.
The tour can be structured in various formats depending on our visitors’ interests, allowing us to focus on different topics, such as the history of the instrument, the artisanal craftsmanship of guitar-making in Granada, the construction processes, or its connection to flamenco.
We also offer the option of hosting a short demonstration concert by a professional guitarist, during which visitors will have the opportunity to hear everything from a historically accurate reproduction of a traditional 1850s guitar to contemporary guitars crafted by our luthier, followed by a discussion among visitors about the characteristics of these instruments.
Since the tour is conducted in Spanish, we also offer the services of an English interpreter to make the tour accessible to those interested.
It is important to check for availability and the schedule, as the tour takes place in an actual guitar workshop where our primary activity is guitar making.

La visita se realiza de la mano de Óscar Muñoz, guitarrero granadino que ha consolidado su trayectoria durante los últimos años, adquiriendo reputación y reconocimiento profesional dentro y fuera de su propio gremio: miembro de la Asociación de constructores de guitarra de Granada, en 2018 obtuvo el segundo premio en el concurso internacional de constructores de guitarra “Antonio Martín Montero”, en el que participaron algunos de los más afamados constructores de guitarra a nivel mundial.
Actualmente colabora con el Parque de las Ciencias de Granada realizando actividades de investigación y divulgación de la guitarra flamenca y clásica en la exposición “Play & Música”. Las guitarras de Óscar Muñoz merecen ya reconocimiento internacional, siendo comercializadas por plataformas tan relevantes como la del “Salon Guitar Internacional”.
